Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital provides veterinary grooming services for Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma, Claremont, Ontario, Upland, Fontana and the Rest of the Inland Empire. Trust our pet hospital for:
Flea Baths - Fleas cause skin irritation, spread disease and may promote infections. We use special flea baths to rid your pet of adult fleas, flea eggs and any other debris these pets leave behind.
Prescription Flea Control - Once your pet is flea-free, let's keep him that way. Our veterinarian can prescribe flea control medications to prevent infestation.
Medicated Baths - Our soothing medicated baths can help treat a wide range of skin conditions including seborrhea, allergic dermatitis, yeast infections and and other discomforts.
De-Matting - Mats of clumped-together hair pull painfully on the skin when you try to brush your pet, and in severe cases they can cut off air circulation and allow foul-smelling sores to form. We can untangle that matted hair or even snip the mats away as part of an elegant new "hairdo" for your animal.
Whole Body Shave-downs - Pets with unusually thick coats may need more than just a trim when the "dog days" of summer arrive. But shaving your pet safely requires professional skill. Shave-downs usually call for a preliminary veterinary exam, as well as pet sedation/anesthesia.
Nail Trimming - The nails of pets who spend most of their time indoors tend to overgrow. This can cause them to get torn away from the nail bed, causing injury and promoting infection. We have the skill necessary to trim your pet's nails with the utmost care.
Anal Sac Cleaning - When your dog's anal sacs become clogged, pain, oozing and infection may follow. We can perform the task of expressing the anal glands and cleaning the anal sacs as needed.
Our pet hospital also provides avian grooming services such as:
Beak Trims - This procedure is sometimes needed for birds experiencing abnormal beak growth.
Nail Trims - Birds can't perch properly without the right length of nails. We can trim overgrown nails to help your bird regain his poise.
Wing Clipping - Wing clipping can keep birds from flying into danger, but it requires great care and precision. We can clip your bird's wings safely.
Band Removal - Removing a leg band is delicate work. We require a veterinary exam for this procedure; sedation or anesthesia may also be required.
We highly recommend scheduling your pet's grooming appointment in advance. If you're scheduling a same-day discharge, you must drop your pet off by 11:00 am. To ensure our patients' safety, animals must be current on their vaccinations before grooming. To help birds cope with grooming (which they can find stressful), owners must arrange to leave their birds with us for at least 4 hours.
