Having pets is great for companionship, but there are times when taking your pet with you when you are traveling is not a practical option. The same is true when you have house guests who may be allergic to your pet, or they just don’t get along for one reason or another.

It is during these times when you need to find safe pet boarding with access to a vet in Rancho Cucamonga. As an animal hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital is a great choice for pet boarding in Rancho Cucamonga, because we give you access to a veterinarian in Rancho Cucamonga CA that will provide your pet with the great care and attention they deserve, and will leave you with peace of mind that your pet is in good hands while you can’t be with them.

What to Expect From Pet Boarding

At Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital you can feel good about your pet’s experience. We have an ample boarding facility with 17 runs for dogs, and stainless steel cages for other animals. While the animals are being boarded, they receive regular interaction from our caring, experienced staff. Dogs are walked at least twice a day, and play sessions can be requested as well. Our pet guests are fed Hill’s Science Diet food, but we will gladly feed your pet whatever they eat at home, as long as you bring in what they need.

Because we are a pet hospital, we take the health and wellness of your pet very seriously while they are being boarded in our facility. Not only do we have trained staff constantly monitoring pets and alerting medical staff to potential concerns, we take steps to assure that pets are in reasonably good health before we board them as a precaution to keep our facility clean and keep all pets safe.

What We Expect From Pet Owners Before Pet Boarding

Providing a safe boarding experience for your pet, and all other pets in the facility requires a joint effort from our staff and pet owners, and we have a few policies in place to help assure that that happens.

Vaccination Requirements

In order to be boarded at Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital, pets must be current on several required vaccinations. The vaccinations we require for dog boarding include:

  • DHPP
  • Parvovirus
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • Canine Influenza
  • Rabies

Required Cat Vaccinations include:

  • Feline Distemper
  • Chlamydia
  • Rabies

Pre-Boarding Evaluation

Before leaving, we want to make sure that pets at our facility are not going to become aggressive toward staff or a danger to other animals. For this reason, we require a pre-boarding evaluation.

The pre-boarding evaluation is free of charge and checks not only for your pet’s compatibility, but also for fleas, ticks, or other pests. If these are found, you will be charged for a treatment to remove them. It typically lasts about 20 minutes, and can be scheduled a few days before the boarding session is scheduled to begin.

Payment Policies

At Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital, we provide safe, veterinarian-supervised boarding services for dogs, cats, and birds at very reasonable rates.

Before a boarding stay begins, we require a 75% deposit of expected fees, or a 100% deposit if the stay is expected to last more than 10 days.

There’s a good chance that Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital will be able to accommodate you. To learn more about our facility or to schedule a pre-boarding evaluation, contact us at (909) 980-3575.
